Good atmosphere, colleagues are friendly, meal ticket.
The salary is miserable and, for the possible review, it doesn't matter how you do it. During the first 6 months, it won't have any impact because they block rank increases. And then, personally, you spend many days doing nothing all day. I just want to work and I insist to my supervisors to give me work or something to do, but I simply have to stand idle with my other colleagues. When there is work, it's stuff that makes you feel like you're not learning anything. Also, in this almost half a year that I've been here, I've had zero independence, giving our "sub-team" of Spaniards in a team of French people one task a week for the three of us. Also, the issue of long and unnecessary meetings that you can't follow because the language barrier combines with the technical knowledge barrier of the project.
First contact with HR, followed by a technical interview with other technical teams where they explain the hierarchy within the data department.
It wasn't consistent, I guess because of the holidays. They don't manage candidate expectations well. They don't give real feedback; they tell you everything is fine, but suddenly they remove you from the process.
In my opinion, the interview process seems very agile and direct. It gives me the impression that, by having only a couple of phases, they really respect your time, greatly speeding up the decision.
