When business is good, there are many excellent customers and opportunities. Cap provides many benefits such as mobile data, travel insurance, and a bonus for certification.
If business is slow, you end up on the bench. This is not a good position to be in and can threaten your career. There was little focus on developing additional skills for future proofing. You are on your own for the most part.
Feedback from management comes late, if at all. All of a sudden, you might find yourself in a bad place with no warning whatsoever. Compensation was low.
Focus on your employees more. They are valuable and adaptable resources that will help you, but first you need to help them.
