Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I recently had a phone screen for this position, and it was a very strange experience.

The interviewer, Satish, seemed to be rushing through his technical questions. It did not feel like he was interested in listening to my answers.

He merely acknowledged them with 'yes, ok, right,' and we zipped through the questions in about 30 minutes.

I would rate my performance as B+ to A- based on the number of questions I answered correctly. I initially thought I did well because he sounded positive, but looking back, something felt fishy.

I never stood a chance.

Why waste his time or mine?

The process is such that HR filters resumes and passes them on to the hiring manager.
