Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

After applying online, the recruiter reviewed my resume and reached out for a quick call. They then sent me a HackerRank coding test, and after that, an interview was scheduled.

The interview process consisted of four rounds:

  • A coding test with some basic questions.
  • A technical interview with design questions.
  • A case interview.
  • A behavioral interview.

After a few days, I was informed that I had cleared the interviews and would now have "match calls" with project managers.

I had three match calls, where the managers did not ask any questions. Instead, they asked me to "tell me about yourself" and then explained the project and technologies being used, stating that I was a suitable fit. However, I still didn't receive an offer letter.

After a couple of follow-ups, I received a reply stating, "We were not able to find a suitable project match for you."
