This is my first, and I hope the last, review of an interview process. It was absolutely the worst experience, so I felt compelled to post the review.
I applied on Capital One's website for the Software Engineering Manager position in New York. The recruiter called me to discuss the process. She sent me a HackerRank test. The test was to write a web service in Go, so it passes the included unit tests, and to add at least one new test case.
The test was rather easy. I submitted it and never heard back. I sent two emails... nothing.
I assume I failed the test, but to have spent around 4 hours on it and not get ANY response was frustrating, to say the least. Clearly, the recruiter I was working with was very unprofessional.
Write a web service in Go. The web service should pass all the 10 test cases provided in the test. Also, add at least one new test case.
