Pros: Work-life balance is phenomenal. Good compensation and general benefits package. PTO policy is incredibly generous (along with other days off/learning days). Great senior leadership.

Cons: High turnover. Consistently, work could be more interesting. Culture is team dependent.

Pros: Great WLB, get to use most current tech stack, and can experiment without having to worry about resources or cost.

Cons: Some teams won't promote you unless you put in the extra time, or you are in a highly visible role.

Pros: Wanted to post a review of Capital One after some time has passed. When I speak about my career, I look back at Capital One as one of my best experiences. The company is focused on offering opportunities and still has a category-defining culture. Working in the technology group, there were normal transformation challenges, but an expressed focus on artfully migrating to digital and technology. All of this emanates from the CEO, who is less active and on the ground than previously, but still displays leadership that is unparalleled, from my perspective, in the banking world.

Cons: Capital One had to make some trade-offs to bring in technical talent, for expertise. Polarizing and neglectful, don’t settle on culture.
