A recruiter reached out to me and discussed a couple of positions. One was a mid-level role and the other a senior role. I chose the senior one, as she assured me I was qualified for either. I passed the online coding assessment.
Subsequently, the recruiter was laid off. I was transferred to another recruiter, who then informed me I didn't meet the basic qualifications for the senior-level positions. The mid-level role was no longer available.
This was quite irritating, as I would have pursued that role immediately had I known I wasn't qualified for the senior positions.
