Process

I applied online. The process took 1 week.

It was a coding assessment round on CodeSignal: 4 questions for 70 minutes which was to be completed in one week. The questions ranged from easier to harder difficulty levels and were variants of LeetCode algorithmic puzzles mostly.

Questions

There were 4 CodeSignal questions asked, and they covered string manipulation for two of them, the third involved DP, and the fourth was an Intervals question.

  • First question was to do a pairwise swap of an initial string, e.g., abcdef to badcfe (easy).
  • Second was similar to Leetcode 443 String Compression, but with a twist of taking the last/max occurrence rather than the first (medium).
  • Third one was similar to Leetcode 62 and 64, which involved a 2D matrix and dynamic programming with a robot and minimum path sum (medium-hard).
  • Fourth one was similar to Leetcode 2021 and 2237, but with a twist of finding areas covered uniquely by each lamp and not intersection ones (hard).
