Pros

Decent work culture, decent salary and benefits, free food, and a lot of fun activities. Good work-life balance, as there is no work.

Cons

A very poor engineering team. Senior management in engineering are not at all skilled technologists. Nobody has hands-on experience, and theoretical knowledge is even more pathetic. The company doesn't hire skillful, experienced people at higher levels. As a result, all the products developed in the Bangalore office look like college projects. In contrast, US managers are extremely skilled and hands-on. There's too much focus on presentations to impress stakeholders who come to visit. Almost all projects are dropped once the stakeholder visit is over. Also, the culture and values Capital One US upholds are very different from what is seen in the Bangalore office.

Advice to Management

Please hire experienced people, especially for the managerial positions. You can consult the corresponding US teams to identify what the managers in Bangalore lack in terms of skill set. Having great people to work with gives an unmatched learning opportunity for college graduates.
