Pros

Good for ambitious young men.

Plenty of challenges.

Cons

This was easily one of my worst employment experiences in a long career history. There's a culture of promoting young men fast who exhibit certain technical traits and results. Past experience, emotional intelligence, and doing a good job don't seem valued here. The twice-annual, heavyweight performance review process favors individual results over team collaboration or long-term project success. Microaggressions and poor behavior amongst the successful aren't openly challenged, instead being the norm amongst some. There's a culture of silence from leadership on anything that isn't working or hasn't worked well, opting instead for toxic positivity and constant unexplained change. If this doesn't work for you, expect it will be made your defect, not a structural or cultural issue.

Advice to Management

Break the silence and stop the toxic positivity.
