Nice working environment and some good technical guys there.
Some interesting projects.
There is most certainly a core clique of people who create a campaign of propaganda and most certainly do not like honest opinions.
If you speak your mind regarding project deliverables, strategy, or staff members who are clearly playing a game, then prepare to have your card marked and be rounded on by the "Stasi - This is the Cap One Way" police.
Long-time serving staff at Cap One have been slowly brainwashed by the Capital One ethics. The one-upmanship approach is encouraged. Staff are passively aggressively managed out of the business if their face or opinion does not fit.
Many very talented people joining from external organizations rarely stick around, as they see and experience the wrath of this unhealthy culture.
On the outside, it looks like fun and enjoyable, but underneath, there is a very protective and somewhat naive group of people who only care about how good you can make them look.
Very divisive and intrinsic.
Your culture will damage your long-term growth and effectiveness in the financial market.
Easy, one case, one behavioral, one technical interview. By far the easiest interview I ever had. Normal behavioral questions, and for the case, just think from a business standpoint. Prep LeetCode Easy for the technical.
Easy. Four rounds. 1. Behavioral. 2. Coding. 3. A “technical business” discussion. 4. A system design round based on resume and experience. Interviewers were nice and fair. The recruiter was very pushy and didn’t give me time to decide on the offer
Very positive. There was first a test you have to do, but if you practice LeetCode, it should be pretty smooth. I would recommend studying, as some of the questions towards the end were confusing if not studied ahead of time.
