- Emphasis on moving legacy systems to the cloud (mainly AWS).
- Time is given every Friday to pursue learning and other interests.
- PCP doctor on campus, nice health benefits.
- 3% 401k match even if you don't contribute anything.
- Salary for senior engineers could be higher.
- Most employees have a bad opinion of stack ranking.
- Every technical decision needs to be vetted by a central team of architects even before one line of code is written. This adds needless delays.
- Management tries too hard to make employees feel as if they are part of a noble mission. Though the company is better than its peers, the constant emphasis on mission becomes distracting.
- Simplify architecture review to help engineers move faster.
- Keep emphasis on mission to a minimum.
- Ensure that pay remains competitive with other banks in the area.
