Since many interns are hired, it's very easy to meet new people. Everyone is super nice and looking to help.
Interns move much slower in terms of gaining permission and onboarding. The work you do depends on your manager and their outlook. There are a lot of different business groups and many different units that interns can be placed on.
Just enjoy the process. It was a new experience for me, and I made a lot of new friends.
