Process
The interview process included:
- A 1-hour call with the hiring manager.
- A 45-minute SQL test.
- A system design round.
- An in-person final motivation chat.
I was rejected at stage 3.
The SQL test involved an exchange rate question requiring the use of a "lead" window function.
In the system design part, I had to define the schema for two payment-related datasets to answer chart-based questions. I also needed to design an efficient and cost-saving model (e.g., an incremental model) and address the challenge of late-arriving data.
