Cons: There is a large pay disparity across locations. Pay is not proportional to level so much as location.

Cons: This is the place where brown-nosing will get you to the top. I have seen people getting promoted five times in a year. I wonder how many holes they filled to go up the ladder that fast? I also saw all of their lackeys getting promoted multiple times in a year. One person is a legit clown. He juggles clown balls during meetings, pretends to take notes, and then proceeds to ask his subordinates for their opinion because the only notes they took during the meeting was drawing themselves juggling clown balls. This is their day-to-day. This person did not do anything for three years and was promoted because he knew one of the biggest brown-nosers at the top of the corporate chain. I witnessed this in real-time and I couldn't believe it. I wonder if anyone knows who this is... It is not what you know. It is who you know. Imagine "The Human Centipede." That is Checkr. The difference is that you have people going at it from multiple angles simultaneously. When you give kids and their fellow brown-nosers power, you get a Kool-Aid spinning machine.

Pros: Free meals and a nice office space.

Cons: Management is extremely novice. I don't understand what skills they bring to the table and what they actually do on a daily basis. People are getting hired left and right due to nepotism. For instance, a candidate that completely failed the interview process was hired because she knows the SVP. I was actually in the meeting. The code stack is laughable. It's funny seeing the faces of recently hired engineers when they first see the codebase. Utterly trash. The management and tech lead should be ashamed of themselves.
