Pros
  • Good pay and a great set of benefits, including lunches and a fully stocked kitchen.

  • A very tolerant and supportive organization for employees beginning their professional careers. There's so much to learn if you are starting your career, and the internship program is amazing.

  • Good work-life balance, if you are in the right team and location.

  • The company has a real mission and a vision, and most employees genuinely believe in it.

  • Multicultural acknowledgment and celebrations.

  • Mass promotions in the last few years to retain talent.

  • Lots of events, employee programs, and training.

  • Pretty good employee support, including health, mental, immigration, family, PTO, and equipment.

Cons
  • Most employees think there is no job security and look outside directly or indirectly. Everyone works in fear as the business is struggling against the world of AI.

  • Stock price is pretty much at an all-time low. Stagnant business growth.

  • Middle management has little to no decision power. A few high-level folks decide the line-up. A very tiny percentage of employees have most of the power. Disconnect among higher-up management.

  • If you don't like office politics, it is not the place for you.

  • It has become a rat race recently. The business and execution focus is shifting frequently.

  • Favoritism at multiple levels.

  • High turnover rate in the last few years.

  • Most veteran employees with domain knowledge in various areas have already left in the last few years.

  • Very frequent reorgs. You are likely to get a new manager frequently.

  • Employee survey pain points are talked about but rarely addressed.

  • Work division is unorganized. Some teams are burning out and others have no work.

  • A lot of groups treat their employees as "resources" not humans or team members.

  • Heavy outsourcing. Expect to work with multiple timezones and countries regularly.

  • It is a seasonal business so expect a very hectic few months twice a year.

  • The company believes in acquisitions and adoption rather than building in-house organic products.

  • The HR team is not your friend (as in other companies).

Advice to Management
  • Start implementing people survey feedback seriously.
  • Find a way to minimize work politics at the management levels.
  • Get away from favoritism.
