Weirdest interview experience.

A recruiter call was the start, followed by an online Java multiple-choice test. The questions were exactly what someone else had posted.

Then the tech screen presented a strange problem: I was asked to create an abstract class and all its subclasses. They were grilling me on basic Java concepts.

What's a lambda? What's an abstract class? What's polymorphism?

There was absolutely no LeetCode or advanced coding, just creating constructors and similar tasks. Bizarre.

Pros: Compensation is competitive, and the end product is good.

Cons: Team management is awful. There's no support towards engineers. The whole culture is sink or swim. No education about the ecosystems; one has to figure it all out on their own. They're also pushing for RTO and not being flexible with remote employees.

Pros: Compensation is competitive, and the end product is good.

Cons: Team management is awful. There's no support towards engineers. The whole culture is sink or swim. No education about the ecosystems; one has to figure it all out on their own. They're also pushing for RTO and not being flexible with remote employees.

If the stock goes up, you have now hiked. If it goes down, it's your fault

Cons: - Forget promotions. - Salary structure revised on the basis of nonsense like: "Since last year stock performed well, you will get less hike." I mean, where was that logic when the stock consistently performed badly for 2 years and people who joined at an all-time high? Then nobody cared about giving a hike anyway. - Management is not honest and always talks. Keep changing goals and teams without any idea what's going on. It's like an org change every year, lol.
