I had my first recruiter call and online assessment for Java-related questions.
I passed this round, and they set me up for an hour-long code share round.
A few days before the coding round, they called to ask about my desired rate and tried to lowball me for a Mid-Senior Engineer position in the Boston area. This was a huge red flag for me.
It didn't matter much anyway, as I messed up the code share round due to very bad brain fog. It was a good practice interview, though.
How did you provide a simple solution to a complex problem?
