The facilities team at the Minneapolis office is pretty great.
We get free parking every day and free lunch thrice a week.
Too much unnecessary process slows down or makes it impossible to do everyday tasks for software engineers. There's not enough process that actually helps to create, maintain, and deploy quality code fast and easy.
Code duplication is always encouraged over code reuse, resulting in too much code to maintain. There are hundreds (literally!) of code repos that do the exact same thing.
The company spends too much money on licensed tools, even in cases where there are equivalent or better open-source tools. Then, it turns around and fires engineers in the name of cost cutting.
