Too many cons. The company is burdened by woke culture and pushes it aggressively to appear like it cares, but ironically has homogenous leadership. The engineering culture has expectations of startup speed but has all the inefficiencies of an old bureaucracy. The VPs have little idea what they’re doing, so they hire even more incompetent middle management to directors. They’ve completely bought into all the inefficient engineering practices without contemplating whether it fits Chime’s size and requirements. When engineers think they’ve accomplished something like reinventing the wheel, the self-ego stroking is comparable to military leaders decorating themselves with countless badges. Coworkers here are not your friends. If you thought the engineering world was competitive, avoid Chime because it fosters a dog-eat-dog world. Avoid this s-hole at all costs.
Woke culture agenda won’t hide how bad you are.
