I submitted my resume through the internship program at my school, UC Santa Cruz, and received an email from Cisco Systems.

We scheduled a time for the interview via email. The phone interview was with multiple employees and included questions such as:

• What are your hobbies?
• Give an example of a project you completed at school that could be applied in the work environment.
• Describe yourself.

The environment was very friendly, and I subsequently received an email stating that the hiring team liked my interview. We later spoke on the phone, and the hiring manager offered me the internship.
