Senior Site Reliability Engineer Interview Experience - United States

April 1, 2017

Process

I had a Webex session with the Technical Leader and got through the first round. Then, I had a second round Webex interview with an engineer, which also went well.

The third round was a coding exercise in Python. I was able to complete this exercise even though I had no prior knowledge or experience with Python.

I assume they were assessing how I would perform given a language I had no prior experience in.

The recruiter went silent after the third round and did not respond to any calls or emails checking on the status of my candidacy. Therefore, I assume I did not perform well in the coding exercise or they were expecting a different approach to the solution.

Questions

Coding exercise in Python asking to read data from the iTunes REST service and save the object in MongoDB.
