The interview was a fixed half an hour. Most of it was technical, and other questions were based on my resume. I was asked for details on each and every project. They asked about the challenges I faced during my projects, both at the company and at school.
All in all, it was a holistic interview.

Worst Company Ever

Pros: Not many that I can think of. I work in the Data Center Business Unit. I'm not sure about other business units.
Cons: Politics... politics... politics. If you are a good politician, you are in the right place. It is a very slow place for growth, with too many managers for a few software engineers.

Pros: Cisco has a good name for itself, one of the best companies to work for.
It encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing (organizes nerd lunches), which is good for career growth.
Cisco offers tuition reimbursement for courses, flex hours, and good employee benefits.
Cons: All the employee feedback programs are an eyewash. Ultimately, the quarterly budget decides everything.
Employee recognition: They conduct a lot of surveys, but there hasn't been any significant change.
Bad managers. Ratings, promotions, and salaries are all decided by mid-year, and after that, it's just acting to show the decided ratings are right.
