Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Jose, California
Process
Three interviews were conducted over Zoom.
All three were technical, covering very basic competencies plus a few algorithms. The atmosphere was very laid-back, relaxed, and friendly.
I performed terribly on two out of the three interviews, but that was completely on me. We all have bad days, and all three interviewers were supportive and friendly.

- 4.0Flexible workplace with plenty of opportunities, but management could use improvementSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeSan Jose, California, United StatesMarch 23, 2012Pros: There are lots of opportunities within the company, so you aren't necessarily stuck in one position. It has a very open culture that allows any employee to approach senior-level management easily. Flexible work environments allow many employees to work from home on a regular basis.Cons: Management is not very good at planning projects, and there seems to be a shortage of resources in spite of the large number of employees. In many cases, engineers become managers without learning or improving their people skills. Compensation and rewards are not the best for employees that stay at the company. It seems like the best way to grow your salary is to leave.
