Pros: Leading-edge R&D, contribution to open source is welcome, good compensation, stock options, additional days to vacation, friendly environment, best professionals always willing to help, a splendid working place.
Cons: A large company implies some additional bureaucracy. Sometimes it's not that easy to find a proper person to solve your problem. There's a huge number of different tools, some of them are very dated, and interactions between them are sometimes tricky.
People love abbreviations—a lot of them. For a newcomer, the ramping period might be a little complicated.
