Process

All the interview questions were very technical and covered three areas: computer networking, programming, and Linux. This actually made the interview preparation process very lengthy, requiring lots of studying.

If you have a CCNA or CCNP certificate, the interviewers might go easier on you. If not, make sure you go through networking details about:

  • STP (i.e., root election)
  • OSPF (i.e., DR election, adjacency, etc.)
  • BGP (internal and external, RR)
  • MPLS, etc.

Questions

Why do we have BGP when there are other protocols already?

Difference between a switch and a router.
