I interned in San Jose, USA, as an ASIC DFT Intern from June to August 2024. My mentor, team leader, and team members were super helpful throughout.
They provided hands-on guidance in MBIST memory validation and On-Chip Clock Controller (OCC) testing, helping me gain practical experience.
My mentor was incredibly patient, explaining complex DFT architectures in ASIC designs.
The internship was short (only three months), so there wasn't enough time to dive deeper into some advanced projects. Also, the workload could get intense during simulation debugging sessions, leading to occasional long hours.
It was fairly good and well organized. The team was very friendly and interactive. The interview process was smooth and finished the process in a week.
It was a one-round interview. It was predominantly on data science and large language models. They gave me a repo of an agent framework and asked me to find the code where reward is calculated.
The first round was essentially a screening interview with the recruiter. We mostly discussed my resume, past experiences, and had a general conversation about the company and the role. The second round was more technical. It involved a deeper dive
