Cisco is still a good company. It offers a good starting salary and weekend shift loading.
It gives equal opportunity for engineers to make the same amount regardless of their grade.
The bonus is okay, better than those "promises-but-never-see" companies.
Training and material are great. You will find lots of stuff to learn and grow your technical skills.
The rewarding scheme is poor. Engineers are working long hours and extra miles to reach the MBO, but are not getting rewarded.
The pay raise is non-existent.
It is very hard to get promotion.
We need to reward the engineers who work extra hours and miles. The salary is almost below the market rate. People use Cisco as a paid training camp and leave once they get a better offer.
There is not much employee loyalty if the reward is poor.
I completed the online assessment first. Then, there was a site interview, which included an individual session and a group session. The site interview lasted from morning until afternoon, with breaks for lunch and other activities.
Interview with direct manager and a few other senior engineers from the team. Engineers focused on the technical side, discussing various OSI layers. Manager's questions were more behavioral, focusing on managing difficult situations and coming up
In general, about 5-6 interviews with various profiles (boss, peers in the team, peers in other teams) can be conducted over the phone, via teleconference, or in the office. Most senior people are looking for candidates that can bring something new t
