The department I worked for is very diverse. Whatever your age, gender, or place of origin, you probably won't be the only one.
The company is quite engineer-friendly. There will always be red tape at a company this size, but various levels of management do their best to shield you from it.
Team culture tends to be pleasant and modest. There's very little complaining on the work floor, and both contractors and employees tend to stay a long time. In several years, I never had to work overtime.
Half the people working there are contractors, and there isn't really a path to convert to full time. It happens sometimes, but very rarely. Many contractors were there for years.
If you want to keep a contractor for years, you should really hire them full time. A lot of institutional knowledge leaves when a contract ends.
