With Cisco for longer than a decade, I can tell you that Cisco Corporation is absolutely the best corporation to work for. It has extraordinary people with great culture and a winning mindset.

ELT (executive leadership) are strong leaders with courage and vision. More importantly, they are amazing human beings.

Watch out for poorly run Business Units.

Loyalty has zero value at Cisco.

Declining business units will cut people.

Once laid off, even if your skills and expertise match or exceed internal open openings, you are out of luck.

Hope Cisco realizes and improves this aspect.

ELT, you being great folks (and a layer below you) is not good enough. Cisco’s internal enemies are at the senior management level (VP). Targeted pulse surveys, BU by BU, on leaders' subscription to and sincere practice of Cisco values would really open your eyes.
