Big name. Good benefits. Great discounts for their products. Got a new computer. Easy to get necessary software. Got free training with job search after layoff. Good severance pay.
Vulnerable to market downturns. Unstable employment. Had to use some ancient software, like email. Business units are isolated, with little support from other locations. Employment at other locations was not offered. Applied later for other positions, but received no replies at all.
Develop your own technologies instead of buying competitors'.
