Pros

Smart people and strong engineering talent. Resources are generally aligned with priorities.

Cons

Cisco has become “woke,” and increasing amounts of time and effort are being consumed with diversity efforts. Some of this is needed, of course, but daring to publicly disagree with any of it will get you fired. The fundamental motivator is fear among many, mid-career and beyond. I do not trust senior management to treat me fairly.

Advice to Management

You have created forums allowing employees to speak out, and then fired people for doing so.

Publicly acknowledge that this was wrong, and commit to never do it again.
