Pros

You will be working mostly in cutting-edge technology. Very rarely do people have to work on older technology.

You will get complete networking domain expertise exposure.

Limitless learning opportunities:

  • On-demand video lectures
  • Soft skill development opportunities (unlike other companies at Cisco, this is not restricted).

It is up to you to utilize them. In other companies, it depends on managers.

Top-level management is very good, and the open culture and work environment are awesome.

Cons

You have to manage and uplift yourself, including time management, career, and work-life balance. Nobody cares. Managers care only about your work completion. Too many emails, whether you like it or not, will daily cost you 2 to 4 hours of your time. If your manager is not good, you will be in trouble completing your tasks on time.

Advice to Management

Somebody should tie the bell to the cat.

Reduce the e-mail culture.

Quality of intranet availability and network uptime needs improvement. Many people waste time accessing files from local servers. Laptop Linux support is needed to improve productivity. Many people waste time with Windows, which is unproductive.
