Pros

Enough technical challenges. Good opportunities to learn new things. Friendly co-workers. Beautiful campus, though no time to enjoy.

Cons

Work pressure is certainly more. Job uncertainty, as layoffs and LR are frequent. Development process overhead. Political senior management level. Growth in terms of compensation or role is stagnant or very slow.

Advice to Management
  1. Please ensure old-timers are not stagnated. Internal movement across BUs is equally challenging as getting a job outside, so this has to be eased out to retain talent.

  2. Please make sure internal candidates are given more preference, and privacy is maintained. Many times, the hiring manager solicits feedback before offering the candidate, which defeats the purpose of the formal interview process for internal movement and sometimes backfires or retaliates on the present employee-manager relationship.
