Cisco has great benefits, a pleasant work environment with great facilities, and they compensate their employees well.
Middle management is very weak; few of them are real leaders. The ones that are do move up the ladder. Employees are also overworked. I never had a week of less than 45 hours; 50 was very common.

Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer
Two phone screens assessed basic networking and algorithm questions. Once cleared, they called for an in-person interview. There were 5 technical rounds: * Coding questions were presented on a whiteboard, requiring solutions in C. * Networking

The first round was not bad. Only a single tech lead was present, asking basic C programming questions. The second round was quite long and painful. It consisted of three 1+ hour sessions with two interviewers, some of whom were the hiring manager.
