  • Incredibly strong financial position
  • Competitive total compensation
Cons
  • Lack of vision and 'old school' leadership.

  • Lost its appeal and growth potential due to the above.
Advice to Management

Be visionary and more caring for products and the people who design & develop them.

There have been signs that Cisco is turning around, but it's much too slow.

You are still 'old school' when compared to the new generation of leaders.

You can still apply valid older management practices from GE and adopt new ones from Amazon and succeed. However, the last several years up to now have been a "mix and match" that don't really go to the root of the problem.

If you continue to be driven by the balance sheet and internal politics, you will not grow or be a company that its employees will be proud to work for.
