Pros

Brand name.

Pay is okay, but gets stagnant after a while.

Tie-ups with good institutes for higher education.

Good work exposure depends on the team one's part of and rapport with the entire reporting hierarchy, including pseudo-managers.

Employees can get discounts for Cisco certifications.

Cons

No Work-Life Balance (WLB)

24x7 availability is expected.

Need to be in the good books of not just the reporting manager but every pseudo-manager around.

Frequent layoffs have made everyone fear for their own jobs, and so they don't share knowledge with others.

Not a company to stay with in the long term. Almost everyone in my team is looking for job changes.

Advice to Management

The "resources" are actual "humans." Consider them that.

First, get extra training classes for your pseudo-managers so they learn to respect others. Even "juniors" deserve respect.

Until something is done about the frequent layoffs, the new joiners (not just freshers, but even people with experience) will always be on a back foot compared to people who've been with the same product for longer.

India is a diverse country. Hire people who reflect that, not just the usual clones of the current fossils.
