Pros

Very accommodating with respect to your personal life and mental health. Great managers to work with.

Cons

It can get very hectic sometimes, especially around release timelines.

Work spills over to the weekend to meet the deadlines a lot of times.

Increased micromanagement, like sending a report with #loc pushed by an engineer with the entire team, which seems stupid.

Too many releases happening, and the code is very bulky, with a lot of outdated code. However, there is no bandwidth allocated to fix the existing codebase. Instead, there is encouragement to pack in as many new features as possible with each release.

This tampers with the quality of the software over a long period of time, mostly due to the myopic decision-making of the upper management.

Customers often complain about the unreliability of the software updates and the bugs.

Advice to Management

Dedicate time and bandwidth to improve the existing codebase.

Incentivize higher code quality and more code coverage on the existing codebase than solely focusing on new features.
