I have been working with Cisco for about 5 months as a Software Engineering Intern, and will be joining them full-time in early August.
It's been a seamless journey with Cisco.
Right from the Intern Onboarding Orientation, Cisco does not fail to make you feel special. The company, as popularly known, is a people's company. They truly value their employees.
The working experience has been great. The mentor and manager assigned to me were very knowledgeable and friendly. Such environments encourage you to give your best. The team as a whole really drives and values your project to actually take it up till production. Some might make it, some might not, but they make their best effort to drive it.
They have several leisure activities and several training courses/orientations which maintain a perfect balance of "gaining knowledge", "implementing your knowledge", and "mental health and satisfaction".
All in all, this review need not say much to you, the employees working here, who have been here for years and never tried to move out because of the perfect balance, speaks a lot more.
It is sometimes perceived that your learning curve at Cisco might be slightly slower comparatively because you are not in a pressurizing or drilling environment, even though there is immense knowledge and opportunities all around. In my personal opinion, that is definitely the preferred environment in the longer run. In the initial phase, as a fresher, you need to be self-driving and motivated to make the best of the Cisco experience and environment.
Nothing at all. Everything runs very smoothly and well-balanced. Keep up the good work!
The experience was really good overall. Although certain questions seemed irrelevant, like file system architecture, it was overall a good mix of OS, DBMS, and computer network fundamentals. Thank you for your time.
The interview process consists of three rounds: 1. Online assessment (Data Structures and Algorithms) 2. Technical interview (LeetCode Medium x 2) 3. Managerial interview (Behavioral-based questions) Topics covered include tree-based questions, dyn
First Round – DSA & Networking Focused on data structures & algorithms (DSA). Included computer networking concepts. Second Round – Techno-Managerial Based on your projects. Covered operating systems (OS). Covered computer networks (CN) again, but
