Pros

Easy laid-out life.

Can finish your 40-hour job in 10-25 hours.

You can climb the ladder of career growth by becoming a "yes, sir" employee.

Cons

a) Highly bureaucratic. b) I have seen time and again the absolutely idiotic people going ahead of the deserving ones. c) It has become a management playground. d) Compensation is very low. e) I have been in the top 10% consistently, but still there are no signs of career growth. f) You are expected to work your ass off, but if you ask for a hike, you are given the same management funda. g) The moment you come into your manager's hit list, you are as close to gone as possible. h) Layoffs have become a game now; it is like an yearly activity and the CEO will shamelessly admit it. i) It has lost the charm it once used to have. Now, it just moves like a huge elephant.

Advice to Management

Think before speaking.

Engineers are not idiots; they can see through your crap.
