Cisco Systems is the leader in the Networking domain. Being part of SAVBU, the datacenter unit, is very fortunate. It offers the benefits of a large company while the quality and quantity of the work remain that of a startup. You get to learn many things and have ample scope for personal development.
Since Cisco is a huge company, irrespective of how your BU performs, the hikes and the bonuses are most of the time normalized so that all the BUs are treated equally.
Instead of being driven by the products or features developed by other companies, R&D can be encouraged and come up with new ideas.
