Managers in India are narcissists who have fallen behind to upgrade themselves with software engineering and technology.

Hard work or innovation is not appreciated by managers if the work doesn't give them visibility.

Mostly Team Leads are in pockets of managers in the hope of better appraisals. No matter how good or hardworking you are, your appraisal will not be good. This has been the case in my past two teams. Everything is overlooked and nepotism prevails in the end.

It's a glorified service company. The company survives by buying out other companies rather than innovating.
