Pros

Cisco has a good name for itself, one of the best companies to work for.

It encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing (organizes nerd lunches), which is good for career growth.

Cisco offers tuition reimbursement for courses, flex hours, and good employee benefits.

Cons

All the employee feedback programs are an eyewash. Ultimately, the quarterly budget decides everything.

Employee recognition: They conduct a lot of surveys, but there hasn't been any significant change.

Bad managers. Ratings, promotions, and salaries are all decided by mid-year, and after that, it's just acting to show the decided ratings are right.

Advice to Management
  • Openness and frankness will be appreciated.
  • Too much micromanagement.
