It used to be great, as per people under John Chambers and company. People used to grow alongside the company. But now, it's not the case

Pros

Flexible timings, many intelligent people around. Good food and infrastructure.

Cons
  1. There is nothing much to learn. There is no clear roadmap for why new ideas are evaluated. It's just that Cisco has money, so they invest, and if it doesn't work, they just throw the people out.
  2. Mass layoffs occur frequently.
  3. The constant state of comparison isn't motivating for getting things done.
  4. People who know how to sustain at Cisco can, but people who are intelligent but don't have the survival skills at Cisco won't make it.
  5. There are hundreds of proprietary frameworks at Cisco. Because of them, you will be lost, and you won't be able to learn anything new. It's very difficult to understand the existing frameworks completely.
  6. There is a 100% revocation of the vote for Chuck Robbins as CEO.
  7. Never refer any colleague to join Cisco. It's a bad place to work.
  8. The work environment is serious all the time. There's no vibrant environment to keep energizing people. People here work like robots. It's such a pity. Cisco was once my dream company, and sometimes dreams don't turn out as you think.
  9. Negligible to no hikes.
Advice to Management

Cisco is no more the Cisco it was known for. Now you can deny that by explaining through a reply, or you can try to save it if you can. It's up to you.
