Good people to work with (can only speak of my team).
Good work-life balance.
Good benefits.
Too many layoffs is demoralizing.
Pay is not that great, especially at the junior level.
Slow work environment. Email-heavy culture slows things down. It is impossible to get things done quickly, even if you want to, as it is generally hard to meet people face-to-face.
A lot of people work from home too often.
Lack of transparency about what is happening at the higher levels.
Managers do not interact with employees as often, and even members of the same team do not interact with each other as often, leading to a lack of team spirit.
A lot of people are not passionate about their work. Many are working just for the sake of it.
Please change the work culture to be more interactive.
Don't encourage people to work remotely.
There is no replacement for face-to-face interaction.
Make pay more competitive to retain good people.
There were two coding rounds and one technical round; overall, a pleasant experience. There was a long time between application submission and when the interviewing process began, but the interviewing process was completed in a few weeks.
The experience was really good overall. Although certain questions seemed irrelevant, like file system architecture, it was overall a good mix of OS, DBMS, and computer network fundamentals. Thank you for your time.
Screening phone call, 15-minute introductory conversation. Technical interview consisted of asking basic OOP, 2 LeetCode Easy-Medium questions, and being asked about your project experience. Ghosted and rejected finally after a month.
