Not sure about other departments, but the department I work for has very good management. Employees are treated very well.
Very flexible to work for; you can work from home whenever you want.
Very family-oriented.
Mind-blowing extended health coverage.
Base salary is not lower than average tech companies in Ottawa, but for its size and the amount of work/effort engineers put in, it could be more.
However, other compensation types can balance this deficit (such as RSUs, bonuses based on your performance, etc.).
