Pros

They are an innovative company.

Decent office environment. The redesigned office space looks great. The old office space has tall cubicles giving a lot of privacy but not much light from windows.

RTP facilities offer great entertainment/recreation options: a doctor's office, a gym, a masseuse, Starbucks, two cafeterias, a disc golf course, a sand volleyball court, basketball, and the list goes on...

Diverse team with different backgrounds, age, nationality, and culture.

No micromanagement.

Cons

Cisco's latest push to innovate in IoT caused a few veterans (10+ years) to leave the company, mainly because of uncertainty in direction and an unclear/incomplete strategy.

Cisco does have the same problems that other big corporations have with bullying and workplace aggression. I was not personally victimized, but from reading one of the farewell letters, I learned about a case of bullying.

Air quality in some buildings is bad. It stinks almost as bad as the RTP IBM campus.

Advice to Management

Refine your strategy to include all branches of your business.
