The people at Cisco are some of the smartest people I have ever had the pleasure to work with.
They have a decent company culture with good benefits.
Throughout my tenure at the company, it seemed that reorganizations changed many aspects of the job. I was given responsibilities that were not present when interviewing for the job. Layoffs and the corporation's short-term interest in year-after-year growth caused the loss of many good engineers and affected not only our production speed but team morale as well.
Be willing to raise pay for an increase in responsibility and have more communication between levels of management.
