For a big, long-established tech firm, Cisco has done a great job at keeping in front of technology trends. This means there is always new technology to work on and a good vibe around the company. It has done very well by most measures across 20 years, which is a pretty impressive achievement.
Promotion can be slow. This is largely because churn is low; it's common to see senior team members with 15-20 years of service. That shows it's a great place to work, but it means new opportunities at the top rarely open up and are hotly contested when they do.
Regular redundancies and re-orgs run through the company. It's pretty well 100% of the time either adjusting to a re-org or learning about the ever-more-complicated org structure about to be deployed.
New Exec doesn't have to mean new org structure. Stop following management fads. The last round of org structure change required a 4-hour mandatory course and about 200 pages of slides. If a structure needs that level of explanation, it's WAY too complicated.
Same for culture. If we need an online course and presentation to understand our culture, then we aren't doing it right. Culture is lived, not learned.
