Pros

Stability and compensations are pretty good.

Plenty of resources.

Cons

Employee evaluation is based on how well he or she writes or tells information to the manager, and how peers tell information to the manager. Social networking and politics are almost a must to survive. The rating system encourages back-stabbing among peers and turf guarding.

Advice to Management

More effort in knowing each individual contribution. Less turf guarding. Probably replace/compliment individual-based rating with team-based ratings.
